India's Implementation of AI into its Technological Infrastructure

Image
India's Implementation of AI into its Technological Infrastructure India started its AI journey in 2018 when NITI Aayog came out with the National Strategy on AI.   However, it did not cover the Defence sector and was majorly for the commercial and private sectors (Agriculture, Healthcare, Education, Smart Cities and Infrastructure, Smart Mobility and Transportation). In the Defence sector, India can be seen as a late entrant but has been making decisive steps for matching up the major powers in terms of investment, indigenous development and bilateral and multilateral partnerships on the adoption of AI.  Defence AI Council (DAIC) and Defence AI Project Agency (DAIPA) have been constituted with Rs 1,000 crore annual budget specifically for AI-enabled projects.   Centre for AI and Robotics (CAIR), a laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organization [DRDO], a primary laboratory for R&D in different areas of Defence Information and Communication Tech...

AI & National Security

AI & National Security Advances in Artificial Intelligence will progressively multiply the threats, challenges, and opportunities from the national security perspective. Major Powers like the United States and China are investing big time in AI-enabled systems to enable them to maintain military lead. India is also taking steps in the field of military AI to be better prepared to face the future battlefield. Given the revolutionary implications for national security, the adoption of AI in the sphere of national security has its own challenges, spanning the ethical and regulatory realms. In the defense sector, AI has immense potential for applications like Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), cyber security, military logistics, autonomous vehicles and Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems (LAWS). -x-

Qualities of AI

QUALITIES OF AI :-   u  ADAPTABILITY  :-   AI is one of the things that mankind has created which is at its finest when is comes to adapting to the user and user input.   One such example are shopping apps or websites which get know which accessory the user (customer in this case) is interested in by reviewing the user shopping or search history and modifying it. Now-a-days the self-independent driving systems implemented in vehicles are able to adapt to the roads, corners, signs, stops, round-a bouts etc. Examples include companies like: Tesla, Volvo, Volkswagen etc.   u  INTELLIGENCE  :- I mean how can we not talk about the most important part in AI services, it is in its name ‘Artificial Intelli g ence ’, if A I  will not provide intelligence then there is no as such use of AI in the market, It is the best at providing what it can do best. Along with adaptability it also can make decisions by it’s own and smartly come up with conclusions ...

Why Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Why Artificial Intelligence   (AI) Despite many concerns AI (Artificial Intelligence) has proven to be quite useful in our day to day life. AI is already implemented almost all around us, one such example is our search engines (Example: Google Chrome, FireFox , Microsoft Edge/Bing    etc), they use AI to determine what the user is interested in and can also modify inputs given by the user. Now-a-days its we are really dependent on AI technology not only for extraordinary tasks but also normal tasks as well such as Voice assistants like Siri, Alexa, Goggle Home Assistant and many more make our lives much more easier with just voice to control multiple tasks in the room such as turn on the lights, close the doors, turn on the television etc.  Therefore we can conclude that AI is one of the most useful things man has created although there is a opposition to this point as well which I will cover on the following blogs -x-
